2024 Hustings for the Planet

Monday 24th June. Local concerned groups organised a Hustings. The candidates from the four main contending parties participated. I formed a pop-up film crew to film the hustings and the resulting video is here.

Voting on polling day is our individual chance to be counted. It probably has not been more critical in my lifetime (70+ years) to stand up and add our voices, in whatever direction we lean. My preference is for candidates that make it more likely their parties will walk lightly on the earth.

All candidates were considered for inclusion in the event. Liberal Democrats, Labour, Green and Conservative candidates feature in the video.

The Reform Party candidate didn't respond to the invitation. There was insufficient time in the event programme to include the remaining smaller parties; Heritage Party and Social Democratic Party.
